Just days after unveiling its new compact SUV models, Tata Motors has revealed the pricing for the new Tata Nexon and Tata Nexon.ev Facelifts. The introductory prices for the new Tata Nexon now starts at Rs 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Tata Nexon.ev starts at Rs 14.74 lakh (ex-showroom).
Unlike the pre-facelift models 60+ variants, the 2023 Tata Nexon have adopted a persona nomenclature. According to the new naming system, the ICE models is offered in 4 persona’s – Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless, while the EV models get Creative, Fearless from the ICE along with an all-new Empowered persona. All models of the Nexon can be configured with an optional sunroof and added features.

Tata Motors has extensively updated its popular sub-compact SUV models making theme future proof. Upfront, the Nexon facelifts feature an updated face with more muscular bumpers and new headlamp units that draws inspiration from the Tata Curvv concept showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. Other key exterior changes include different design for the 16-inch alloy wheels, air curtain on the front bumper, redesigned rear spoiler with integrated wiper and full width brake light bar.
Tata cars has also created subtle changes on the EV to differentiate it from the ICE model These differences include an all-new Onxy exterior colour, lower resistance tyres and a unique LED light guide that runs the width of the face that is functional for displaying SOC.
Moving to the inside, we get to see an all-new cabin that feels more upmarket and tech loaded. Centre piece of the new cabin is the 10.25-inch screen (12.3-inch touchscreen on the EV), two-spoke steering wheel, haptic touch controls for the HVAC with rear AC, paddle shifter, 9-speaker JBL system on top-variants and more. Other feel-good additions include an electric sunroof, 360-degree parking camera, rotary knob for drive modes (Eco, City and Sport), ventilated and height adjustable front seats, wireless charging pad and more.
In terms of safety, the 5-star GNCAP rated Nexon comes with 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, ISOFIX child seat mounts and more as standard.

Under the skin, the Tata Nexon facelift comes powered by a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine option. The petrol unit is rated for 120 bhp and 170 Nm while the diesel produces a 115 bhp and 260 Nm of peak power and torque. Both systems are offered with the automatic and manual gearbox options which include a 5/6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT and an all-new 7-speed DCA (petrol only).
On the new Nexon.ev, Tata Motors is offering its Gen 1.5 powertrain which includes an updated motor and BMS. The 142 bhp system is paired to either a 30-kWh medium range battery pack or a larger 40.5-kWh long range unit with a claimed range of 465 km/full charge.
With a staggering introductory price, the new Tata Nexon rivals the likes of the Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300 and the Hyundai Verna in the country.
The new Toyota Fortuner to get the new 2.8L turbo diesel engine with a mild-hybrid tech, which is claimed to offer improveed the fuel efficiency, and throttle response.
