Tata Motors has finally launched the much-awaited iCNG version of the Punch Micro-SUV. It is available in three main variants namely Pure, Adventure, and Accomplished with a price range of Rs 7.10 lakh to Rs 9.68 lakh (ex-showroom). The All-New Punch iCNG is offered with a Voice Assisted Electric Sunroof and Twin-Cylinder technology without compromising the boot space. Let's see what else the new car has to offer.
There are no significant changes to the exterior design except for the i-CNG badge on its tailgate. Additionally, the cabin offers a CNG button used to switch the fuel supply from petrol to CNG or vice versa. The instrument cluster also highlights a CNG gauge.
In terms of equipment, the Punch CNG is provided with advanced features such as a front seat armrest, a voice-assisted electric sunroof, a Shark fin antenna, and a USB C-type charger. Furthermore, it will provide a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system by Harman compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, rain-sensing wipers, and more.
Based on the modern ALFA architecture platform, the SUV has received a 5-Star Global NCAP Adult Safety Rating during its launch.
Powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron engine, the Punch iCNG provides a maximum power output of 73 bhp and 103 Nm of peak torque. However, with the petrol variant, it can deliver 86 bhp and 113 Nm torque. Transmission options here include a 5-speed manual gearbox.
