Kia Carens EV and Carens facelift coming by August 2025 Kia EV6 facelift bookings open Syros to get X-Line variant by year-end
Kia India is all set to announce the prices of the Syros compact SUV on February 1, 2025. After Syros, the Korean brand will launch 5 cars and SUVs in the country in the next 1 year. The company will introduce the locally developed electric car this year. Moreover, facelifts and next-gen models of existing cars will also arrive in our market. Let's talk in detail about the upcoming new Kia cars to be launched in the country in 2025-26.

Kia has officially announced to launch an all-new electric MPV based on the Carens MPV by mid-2025. In fact, the Kia Carens EV has already been caught testing on the Indian roads. It will be based on the modified version of the ICE platform. The MPV will receive some design changes which will be in-line with the Kia EV9 flagship SUV. It will have a new closed-off front grille, new bumpers and new alloy wheels.
The Kia Carens EV will share its battery pack and electric motor setup with the Creta EV. It is expected to be offered with two battery options including a 51.4kWh and 42kWh. The Carens EV is expected to offer an electric range of around 450km to 500km in a single charge.
Kia has confirmed that the Carens MPV will receive a mid-life facelift in 2025. It will receive significant design changes and an all-new interior. Interestingly, the Carens facelift is reportedly to get a new name and will be sold alongside the existing model. Spy images reveal that the new Carens facelift will have a revised front fascia with new LED DRLs, updated headlamps and tweaked bumper. It will have sportier alloy wheels, connected LED tail lights and new colour choices.
It is likely to share features with the new Syros. The Carens facelift is expected to get a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, ventilated front and second-row seats, a panoramic sunroof, and Level 2 ADAS. The MPV is likely to be offered with existing powertrain options including a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo diesel and a 1.5L turbo petrol.
Kia had revealed the new Kia EV6 facelift at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Interested buyers can book the SUV, while deliveries are expected in March or April 2025. It will come with a large 84kWh battery pack with RWD and AWD drivetrain options. The AWD setup with two electric motors offer 325hp and 605Nm of torque. It is claimed to offer 650km range on a full charge. The electric SUV supports fast charging up to 350kW, and the battery pack can achieve 10% to 80% charge in 18 minutes. The electric SUV receive design changes and an upgraded interior with more modern tech features.

Similar to the Carens, Sonet and Seltos, the soon-to-be-launched Kia Syros will receive the X-Line variant by the end of this year. The X-Line model is expected to be based on a top-spec variant with both petrol and diesel engine options. It will be offered with a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel engine. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The Syros X-Line is expected to receive new interior colour scheme along with matte finished exterior paint.

Kia has started testing the next-gen Seltos SUV in India and on foreign soil. The new Seltos comes with a heavily revised front fascia with a new and wider grille, redesigned larger headlamps flanked by vertical LED DRLs, and tweaked alloys. The rear gets new connected tail-lamps with new design extending to the bumper. The cabin will receive new advanced features including bigger touchscreen and digital instrument console. It is most likely to retain the existing 1.5L NA petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engine.
