Hyundai is all set to give a major update to the Venue SUV; Launch expected by the end of June 2022; SUV to feature a host of cosmetic changes inside out with no mechanical changes
Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) has been testing the Venue Facelift for a long time. The sub-4-meter SUV has lost its appeal in the market majorly to due to its sibling the KIA Sonet. Helping it get back up to speed, the automaker is bringing a facelift model in June 2022 featuring major cosmetic updates.

2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift: Exterior Updates
Designed around the “Sensuous Sportiness” philosophy, the car front end styling is in line with the brand’s other SUVs. The highlight of the new front end is the large parametric grille flanked by split headlamp unit on either sides. Other exterior changes include reworked front and rear bumpers, new fog lamp housing, new design alloy wheel, sleek LED tail lamps and a new roof spoiler.

2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift: Interior Updates and Features additions
The interiors of the facelifted Venue are expected to get a new layout to instil an air of freshness to the cabin, although the exact details are still unknown. The centre console will be tweaked to accommodate the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and the new all-digital drivers unit. Other additions to the cabin include a D-cut steering wheel, ventilated front seats, Bose sound system, wireless charging, connected car tech, cruise control, six airbags, ESC, traction control, electronic sunroof and more.

2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift: N-Line variant on cards
A major update to the Venue’s model line-up will be the addition of the sportier N-Line variant. Expected to be offered only in the top-of-the-line trim, the four-wheeler gets 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine mated to either an iMT or DCT gearbox. The second N-Line model from the company will follow in the steps of the first model and get sportier design bits including a sportier front and rear bumper with red inserts, dual exhaust tip, and different alloy wheels among others. The interiors of the N-line version will feature an all-black theme with red inserts.

2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift: Powertrain
The powertrain options will be retained as it is, from the outgoing model, which includes the 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, 1.5 litre CRDi diesel engine and the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with a similar state of tune. One expected notable addition to the facelift will be the arrival of an automatic transmission with the 1.5-litre diesel engine.
2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift: Expected Pricing and Rivals
The updated Venue will command a premium of Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 over the outgoing model owing to the updated styling and feature additions. The price of the refreshed Venue is expected to start from Rs. 7.4 lakhs ex-showroom.
The Venue facelift will rival the likes of upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 300, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Honda WRV.
