Mahindra has shared the official teaser of the updated XUV300; Get revised front fascia with the new brand logo; Likely to get a powerful new turbo petrol engine option; Expected launch this festive season

Things are getting hot in the sub-4-metre SUV segment, with manufacturers launching new and updated versions of India’s favourite SUV market space. The latest brand to join the bandwagon is Mahindra & Mahindra, which has committed to launch an updated version of the XUV300 in the country before the festive season. The teaser image shared gives a sneak peek into the design of the upcoming SUV.

Going by the teaser, the biggest change on the new XUV300 will the addition of the brands new ‘Twin-Peak’ logo at the front and the rear. Other cosmetic updates include a reworked front bumper with chrome highlights and a 17inch alloy wheel. Excluding these changes, the XUV300 remains identical to the outgoing model. While the interiors are still under wrap, we expect some minor improvement to the overall dashboard layout and upholstery for an upmarket appeal. The four-wheeler is expected to get the new AdrenoX infotainment unit to bring it in sync with other XUV models.
The test mule which was spotted a few days back also reveals a new dual tone Blue-White colour scheme is in consideration for launch.

Under the hood, XUV300 will get a new 1.2-litre t-GDi mStallion turbo petrol engine putting out 130 bhp and 230 Nm of peak torque. The 1.5-litre diesel unit will be retained, which is good enough to produce 115 bhp and 300 Nm torque. Both engines will get the option of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT gearbox.

Mahindra will most likely launch the updated XUV300 before the festive season in order to fully utilize sales widow. It will rival the likes of Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza in its segment.
