2026 Mahindra Scorpio N and Thar Facelift Launch Soon; More Details

The homegrown automaker, Mahindra is getting aggressive with its product strategy for the domestic market. Before introducing its next phase of products, the company will give a mid-life update to its popular SUVs, including the Scorpio-N and Thar Roxx. In fact, both SUVs have been caught testing multiple times on the Indian roads. Both models are likely to receive cosmetic design and interior changes along with a longer list of features.

2026 Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift

The SUV will retain its silhouette, and the majority of the changes will be made to its plastic parts. It will have a completely redesigned front fascia, featuring a new grille, revised headlamps with LED DRLs, and an updated bumper. Other changes will include new alloys, an upgraded bumper and revised tail-lights. Inside the cabin, the Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift is likely to get a new larger touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos for immersive sound system.

The SUV could also get a panoramic sunroof, a fully-digital TFT instrument cluster, an electrically adjustable front seats, driver seat with memory function, and others. The Scorpio-N won’t receive any mechanical changes.  It will continue to be offered with the existing 2.2L turbo diesel and 2.0L turbo petrol engines. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

2026 Mahindra Thar Roxx Facelift

If media reports are to be believed, the Thar Roxx could receive a new engine option. The outgoing model is available with two engines, including a 2.0L turbo petrol and a 2.2L turbo diesel. Both engines also powers the Thar 3-door, Scorpio-N and XUV 7XO, but in different states of tunes. The 3-door Thar also gets a 1.5L turbo diesel engine, which is not available in the Thar Roxx.

Mahindra could introduce the new entry-level Thar Roxx with a 1.5L diesel engine. This will help the company to price the lifestyle SUV aggressively. It will be a rear-wheel-drive offering, targeting urban consumers. The recent sightings suggest that the SUV could also get a new top-end variant, which will have 19-inch wheels and a single-pane sunroof.
