After launching the XUV 7XO, which is essentially the XUV700 facelift, Mahindra is now planning to give a major upgrade to its popular SUV, the Scorpio N. In fact, the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift has already been caught testing numerous times on the Indian roads. The SUV will receive cosmetic design and interior changes along with a longer list of features.
If media reports are to be believed, the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift will go on sale in the first quarter 2026, between January-March. We believe that the launch could take place in the Q2, 2026, as Mahindra will soon introduce the upgraded Thar Roxx. The Scorpio N facelift has no direct rivals in our market, and it comes as an alternative to the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
The 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N facelift is likely to receive cosmetic exterior changes. It is expected to get revised headlamps, tail-lamps and fog lights. The SUV could get a newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels. It won’t receive any changes to sheet metal, and the majority of the changes will be limited to the soft plastic part. The Scorpio N facelift to get an upgraded grille and revised lower bumper.
The Scorpio N facelift cabin will receive significant feature upgrade. The current model has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, which will be replaced by a new 10.25-inch unit. This is the same unit which we have already seen on the Thar Roxx. For music lovers, the lifestyle SUV will get a 12-speaker sound system with Dolby Atmos for immersive audio experience. It will continue to feature a dual-zone climate control, 7-seat configuration, an electric sunroof and others.
The SUV could get a fully-digital instrument console and a panoramic sunroof, and ventilation function for both front and second-row seats. It is expected that the new Scorpio N facelift could come with a powered driver’s seat with memory function.
The 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N facelift won’t receive any mechanical changes. It will continue to be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The higher-spec diesel version will continue to be offered with 4x4 drivetrain.
