2 New Tata SUVs Launching Soon - Sierra EV

Tata Motors has recently launched the new Sierra and Punch facelift in the country. Both models have received positive response from buyers. The homegrown automaker grabbed the second position in the Q3 sales, FY 2026. In a bid to further boost sales, the company now plans to launch two more SUVs in the next 3-5 months. The Punch EV will receive a mid-life update in February 2026, while the much-anticipated Tata Sierra EV will be launched in the Q2, 2026, most probably around April-June. Adding to it, the Avinya premium EV brand could be introduced before the end of this year.

Tata Punch EV Facelift

The new Punch EV facelift will receive cosmetic design and interior changes along with a longer list of features. If media reports are to be believed, Tata Motors could add a bigger battery pack to Punch EV. This model could offer a longer range compared to the existing model. It is likely to get a new set of tech features inspired by its newer electric vehicles along with improved charging speeds and connectivity features.

Inside the cabin, the SUV could get an improved touchscreen, driver’s display, Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, new seats with extended thigh support, fast chargers and others. It is likely to get a bigger battery pack from the Nexon EV with a claimed range of around 500km on a single charge.

Tata Sierra EV

The new Sierra EV will be based on the Acti.ev platform that also underpins the Punch EV and the Curvv EV. It will sit right between the Curvv EV and Tata Harrier EV, and will challenge the likes of the Mahindra BE 6 and the Hyundai Creta Electric. The official teaser reveals that the Sierra EV will have EV-specific changes such as a closed-off front, flatter bunper, connected LED DRLs and short overhangs.

The electric SUV will have a triple screen dashboard, a dual-zone climate control, ventilated and powered front seats, a large panoramic sunroof, LEVEL 2 ADAS and others. The new Tata Sierra EV is most likely to be offered with two battery choices, including a 55kWh from Curvv.ev and 65kWh from Harrier.ev. It will be a front-wheel-drive SUV, but the top-spec model could get a dual-motor AWD option. The electric SUV is expected to offer a realistic range of up to 450km on a single charge.
