3 New SUVs Set to Arrive in India Soon

Tata, Nissan and Skoda are preparing three new SUVs for India. Sierra EV, Tekton and Kylaq Sportline target different SUV segments. These SUVs will bring EV, hybrid and sporty compact options soon.

India’s SUV market is about to get more exciting with three major upcoming launches from Tata, Nissan, and Skoda. Each brand is targeting a different type of buyer, from electric SUV lovers to midsize SUV customers and even those looking for sporty compact SUVs.

Here’s a simple breakdown of what’s coming soon.

1. Tata Sierra EV

Tata Motors is bringing back the legendary Sierra name in a brand-new electric avatar. The Sierra EV is expected to debut on June 30, making it the first of the three SUVs to arrive.

This model will sit above the Curvv EV and is aimed at buyers looking for a spacious and premium electric SUV. It is expected to offer two battery options (65 kWh and 75 kWh) along with both rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor AWD setups. Tata may also include features like V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) and advanced connected tech.

2. Nissan Tekton

Nissan is preparing to re-enter the midsize SUV segment with the upcoming Tekton SUV, which will debut globally on July 9. The SUV will be based on the next-generation Renault Duster platform but will carry a unique Nissan design inspired by its global SUV lineup.

It is likely to come with turbo petrol and strong hybrid engine options, placing it directly against popular SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder. This model is very important for Nissan as it aims to rebuild its presence in India.

3. Skoda Kylaq Sportline

Skoda will add a new twist to its compact SUV lineup with the Kylaq Sportline, expected during the festive season.

This version will not change mechanically but will focus on sporty visual upgrades like dark exterior styling, unique alloy wheels, and sportier interior touches. It will continue with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, available with both manual and automatic gearboxes.
