The long-awaited new-gen Honda Amaze sedan will go on sale in the Indian market on December 4, 2025. Honda has already shared the exterior and interior sketches, revealing the key changes to be on offer. While official bookings for the new-gen Honda Amaze are yet to be announced, select Honda dealers have started accepting pre-orders. The sedan will directly rival the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire that has recently been launched at Rs 6.79 lakh.
Latest teasers reveal that the new Honda Amaze styling will be a mix of new Elevate and City. In fact, the cabin layout will be similar to the one offered with the Elevate. The sub-4 meter sedan features a large 10.25-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit, a semi-digital instrument console, and a multi-functional steering wheel, which appears identical to the Elevate. In fact, the HVAC controls appears similar to the SUV sibling. It will have dual-tone black and beige interior finish with silver accents. It will get wireless phone charging, camera-based ADAS suite and a single-pane sunroof.
The exterior styling of the sedan is a mix of Elevate and City, with upper half of the front fascia including headlamp setup, LED DRLs and grille resembles the SUV sibling. On the contrary, the lower face including bumper, air-dam and fog lamp housing looks closer to that of the City sedan. It features a hexagonal-shaped grille, Elevate-like headlamp design with LED DRLs with sleeker chrome trim, City-like fog lamp housing and central air dam.
The side profile has aggressive looks, featuring sharp character line, new multi-spoke alloy wheels, sleeker ORVMs with integrated blinkers, and a shark fin antenna. At the back, the sedan has City-like tail-lights and number plate housing on the tailgate.
The third generation Honda Amaze will be based on City's platform, which is modified to accommodate a shorter wheelbase car. The City has a wheelbase of 2600mm, while the Amaze is likely to retain the wheelbase of around 2470mm. Under the bonnet is a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that is good for 90hp and 110Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
