Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has hit a major milestone by rolling out 5 lakh cars from its Indian plants. The production comes from two world-class facilities — one in Pune and the other in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (formerly Aurangabad).
This major achievement shows India’s growing importance as a manufacturing and export hub for Skoda's global ambitions.

Skoda is not just making cars for India anymore. The Kushaq and Slavia models, which are designed and developed for Indian customers, will now also be made for international markets like Vietnam. This step proves how ‘Make in India’ is helping global car brands expand.
Skoda started its journey in India in 2001 with cars like the Octavia, Superb, Laura, and Kodiaq. Now, new models like the Kushaq, Slavia, and soon-to-launch Kylaq are boosting its growth. With 25 years in India and 130 years worldwide, Skoda combines tradition with innovation.
Out of the 500,000 cars, around 70% were built at the Pune facility. The rest were produced in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. The company also hit its highest-ever monthly sales in March 2025, delivering 7,422 cars in just one month.
