We reported earlier that Mahindra will launch two new electric SUVs in the country in the first half of 2026. Adding to it, Mahindra will introduce the upgraded versions of its existing SUVs, including the XUV700 and Thar 3-door. Testing of the new Mahindra XUV700 facelift and Thar facelift have already been commenced on the Indian roads.
The spy images of the Mahindra XUV700 facelift reveals interesting details about its exterior and interior. The SUV will come with subtle design changes, but major changes are likely to be made inside the cabin. Mahindra is not likely to offer any changes to its mechanics, as the XUV700 facelift will continue to be offered with petrol and diesel engine choices.
The XUV700 facelift will come with cosmetic design changes. The front fascia will come with an updated headlamp setup and the daytime running lights. It will get slightly updated grille that continues to house vertical slats. The updated model will have heavily revised lower bumper that houses new housing for fog lamps.
The side profile appears largely identical to the existing model. It continues to feature flush-type door handles and a sloping roofline. The Mahindra XUV700 facelift is expected to get an updated and prominent wheel arches and newly designed alloy wheels.
The rear end of the XUV700 facelift will also receive some design changes. It will have revised LED tail-lights connected by an LED light bar. The lower bumper will also be tweaked to offer a different look.

The cabin of the Mahindra XUV700 facelift will receive some significant changes in terms of design. Similar to the XEV 9e, the XUV700 facelift is likely to get a triple screen dashboard. The triple screen comprising a touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital driver’s display and a co-passenger entertainment screen. The passenger screen is likely to allow video streaming, games, navigation help and even video calls.
The SUV is also likely to receive new upholstery for seats and new interior scheme along with an updated feature list. The SUV is likely to get ventilated front and rear seats, self-parking assist, an upgraded Harman audio system with Dolby Atmos and an auto dimming IRVM.
The XUV700 facelift is likely to retain the existing engine choices, including a 2.0L turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel. While the former is good for 197bhp and 380Nm of torque, the oil burner produces 182bhp and 450Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
