Toyota is preparing to launch the next-generation Harrier SUV in 2027, and early details suggest it will be more stylish and premium than ever before.
Toyota recently revealed the new-generation RAV4, but now all eyes are on the upcoming Harrier. The new Harrier is expected to sport a sleeker design than the RAV4. It will feature a coupe-like profile with a sloping roofline and a more premium stance.
The 2027 Harrier will have a longer wheelbase of 2,770 mm, which is about 80 mm longer than the current model. It will stand 1,550 mm tall and measure around 4,750 mm in length. The stretched size means more cabin space and a road presence that matches premium SUV standards.
Inside, Toyota is expected to offer a more luxurious cabin. The SUV will come with a large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring modern connectivity options and over-the-air (OTA) updates. This will help the Harrier stay updated with the latest features without needing a dealership visit.
In the Japanese market, the new Harrier will likely be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Toyota is also expected to offer hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, focusing on improved fuel efficiency and smoother performance.
While the SUV will be known as the Harrier in markets like Japan, Toyota is expected to sell the same model as the Venza in the United States.
