Renault to launch new family and compact SUVs by 2030. Turbo petrol and hybrid engines expected. Premium interiors and modern tech included.
After a quiet start to the decade, Renault is gearing up for a major SUV push in India. The company recently launched the Renault Duster, and plans to introduce multiple new SUVs by 2030, focusing on both family and urban buyers.
The first upcoming SUV will feature three rows of seats and is designed with families in mind.
While it takes inspiration from the rugged Duster, the new model will have a more elegant and refined exterior, with sleeker side panels, integrated roof rails, and smaller wheel arches.
Premium touches are expected inside, including elegant trims, updated upholstery, and high-quality materials. Renault could offer 2+3+2 or 2+2+2 seating layouts, making it suitable for larger families.

The SUV is expected to share several features with the all-new Duster, such as:
Additional family-friendly features may include rear seat ventilation, reclining seats, boss mode, and rear sunshades.
Under the hood, the SUV will likely get a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 161 hp and 280 Nm, paired with 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-wet-clutch automatic options.
A 1.8-litre petrol-hybrid version could follow a few months later, expected around October 2026, offering better efficiency and eco-friendly performance.
A year after the three-row SUV, Renault plans to launch the Renault Bridger, positioned above the Kiger as a premium compact SUV.
It will have a ground clearance of around 200 mm, a boot space of approx. 400 litres, and come with 1.2-litre petrol engines, with hybrid and fully electric versions expected by 2028.
