Bringing in some fresh news, Nissan Motor India recently shared a teaser photo on its social media handles sparking rumours about the possible launch of a new product in the Indian market. Mentioning the date of the event (18th October 2022), teaser image revealed the theme of ‘Move Beyond’. Currently, there is no firm information available about the event, but expect more details from the brand in the coming day.

Nissan currently has only two models in its line-up, namely the Magnite and Kicks. A major chunk of its sales is driven by the Magnite sub-compact SUV. Going through a dry spell since the launch of the Magnite in 2021, we expect the automaker to launch a brand new model (mostly EV) in the country.
As for the introduction of a new product is concerned, we haven’t come across any spy shots of a new Nissan vehicle doing road tests, currently. The lack of data regarding the upcoming Nissan models, hints at the introduction of an International model during the event.

Internationally, the Japanese brand has the Ariya Electric SUV, which could make it to India as a CBU unit. The EV comes with a claimed range of around 500 kilometres and gets two battery pack options, 63 kWh and 87 kWh. The Ariya gets a host features such as the brand’s ProPilot driver assistance systems, connected car tech, route planner and more. It will likely be priced in the range of Rs 38 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
