Skoda India has re-launched the Kodiaq SUV in the Indian market at a hiked price of Rs 37.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV was initially launched on the 10th of January 2022 and was limited to 1200 units. The bookings were exhausted within just 2 days and now on popular demand, the Czech manufacturer has brought back the product to the country.
The Skoda Kodiaq SUV can be booked through the brand’s official dealership network for an amount of Rs 50,000. The prices of the SUV have been hiked by almost Rs 1.5 lakh and the range now starts at Rs 37.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Style variant. The prices of the mid-spec Sportline and top rung L&K are Rs 28.49 lakh and Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Deliveries for the new batch will commence from Q1 2023.

Making the announcement Zac Hollis, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, said “The Kodiaq is a niche, luxury 4x4 and our flagship offering. The response to this SUV, post the launch in January was astounding. I still get requests for the vehicle, showing us that India has an extremely healthy demand for quality, luxurious, technologically advanced SUVs that are priced right. I am happy to share that we are opening bookings for Q1 2023, and will announce phase-wise booking windows for the rest of the 2023 volumes,”

The Kodiaq is the flagship product in Skoda’s India line-up. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine putting out 190 bhp. The setup is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox and gets an all-wheel drive system as standard.

It rivals the likes of Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Jeep Meridian in its segment.
