Tata Avinya steering wheel design patented It gets two-spoke steering wheel, similar to the concept version Likely to come with both RWD and AWD
Tata Motors is gearing up to expand its Avinya luxury lineup with two new models. The brand will first introduce a Sportback in 2026, followed by an electric SUV based on the Avinya X concept, which is currently in development.
Earlier this year, the brand unveiled an updated version of its all-new EV at Auto Expo 2025. Dubbed the Avinya X, the model is nearing production, and a recently leaked image has now confirmed a new feature.

The leaked image reveals that the Tata Avinya will feature an all-new two-spoke steering wheel, closely resembling the one seen in the concept version. Unlike current Tata models, this unit comes with a leather-wrapped centre and touch-based controls for various functions. The left-side controls manage calls and music, while the right-side unit is dedicated to cruise control and ADAS features. Additionally, the steering wheel could sport a dual-tone finish, enhancing its premium appeal.
The Tata Avinya X concept-based SUV is expected to be available in multiple seating configurations, including 5-, 6-, and 7-seat layouts. The 3-row variant could serve as the flagship model in Tata's electric lineup.
Based on the concept images, the Tata Avinya is expected to feature a large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a sleek coloured instrument cluster, a left stalk for gear shifts, an armrest with integrated storage, ambient lighting, and a premium dual-tone interior theme.
Tata Motors has yet to reveal official specifications for the upcoming Avinya. However, the EV is anticipated to offer a driving range of at least 500km on a single charge. Additionally, both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations could be available at launch.
