Tata Motors will officially start taking pre-bookings for the new Harrier EV from July 2, 2025. However, select Tata dealers have started taking unofficial bookings. The company has only announced the price of the entry-level Harrier EV, that’s tagged at Rs 21.49 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). Full price list of the Tata Harrier EV is likely to be released on the same day of opening of official bookings.
The Tata Harrier EV is available with two battery pack options - 65kWh and 75kWh - with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive layout. The electric SUV will come in three broad trims - Adventure, Fearless and Empowered. The electric SUV will directly rival the Mahindra XEV 9e and BYD Atto 3.
The 65kWh battery pack is available with a single-motor and a 235bhp, rear-wheel-drive (RWD) set-up. On the other hand, the 75kWh battery pack is offered with both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel drive layout. The AWD setup comes with dual-motor setup, one 235bhp electric motor on the rear-axle and a 156bhp electric motor on the front-axle. The SUV offers an instantaneous torque of 504Nm. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 6.3 seconds, making the Harrier EV the fastest in its segment.
The electric SUV gets a large 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. In terms of features, the Harrier EV gets 10-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos, multi-colour ambient lighting, electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger and dual-zone climate control.
For safety and security, the Harrier EV gets seven airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree surround view camera, front and rear parking sensors, and LEVEL 2 ADAS. The ADAS Tech offers adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, auto high beam, lane assist, blind spot monitoring and others.
The 360-degree camera has a transparent view, where it can show live visuals from underneath the car. It comes with 6 terrain modes - Custom, Normal, Mud and Ruts, Snow, Rock Crawl and Snow/Grass. The EV gets Summon Mode, which allows the user to move the car forward or backward using the key fob.
