After witnessing consecutive sales decline, Tata Motors has finally posted a positive sales growth in the month of November 2024. The company has managed to beat Mahindra, though marginally, to regain the 3rd position in the list of top car manufacturers in India. The sales number shows a strong competition among Hyundai, Tata Motors and Mahindra for 2nd position in the list of top car manufacturers in the country.
Hyundai is the only maker that reported a YoY sales decline in November 2024. However, it manages to secure the second position with 48,246 cars dispatched to dealerships last month. On the other hand, Tata Motors manages to sell 47,117 units in November. Mahindra is at 4th position with 46,222 units dispatched to dealerships last month.

In the passenger vehicle category, Mahindra sold a total of 46,222 units last month as against 39,981 units in the corresponding month in 2023. The company has reported a year-on-year sales growth of 16%. In the commercial vehicle category, Mahindra sold 22,042 units while the tractor sales stands at 31,746 in November 2024.

Tata Motors has posted a YoY sales growth of 2 percent in the month of November 2024. The company sold 47,117 units last month as against 46,143 units in November 2023. In the EV segment, Tata Motors registered 5202 units sales in November 2024 as against 4,761 units in the same month last year - reporting an YoY sales growth of 9%.

Despite registering a negative YoY sales, Hyundai manages to sell 48,246 passenger cars in November 2024. It reported a YoY sales decline of 2.44%, as Hyundai dispatched 49,451 cars in the same month last year. The exports also declined by 20.45%.
