Toyota India Posts 17% Growth in April 2026 as Hybrid Demand Skyrockets

Toyota sold 32086 units in April 2026 Reported over 17 percent YoY sales growth

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reported a total sales of 32,086 units in the month of April 2026 as against 27,329 units in the same month last year. The company has reported an impressive Year-on-Year (YoY) sales growth of 17.41 per cent. However, the brand’s month-on-month sales declined by 14.14 per cent. In the month of March 2026, Toyota dispatched 35,125 vehicles in domestic as well as exports.

Domestic Sales April 2026

In the domestic market, Toyota sold 30,159 units in the month of April 2026 and reported a YoY sales growth of 21.45 per cent. In the same month last year, Toyota sold 24,833 units in the domestic market. The company has exported 1927 units last month compared to 2,496 units in April 2025, reporting a YoY exports decline of 22.80 percent.

The company claimed that its product lineup has been receiving strong customer response. The brand’s hybrid range is getting good response, which has helped Toyota to sustain momentum. Adding to it, the Innova Hycross has crossed 2 lakh cumulative sales in the month of April 2026. This is evident from the rising demand for hybrids in the Indian market.

Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “Our sales performance in April 2026 reflects steady and sustained progress, driven by a strong focus on customer centricity, product excellence and disciplined execution across markets. A key highlight during the month was the Innova HyCross achieving the 2‑lakh cumulative sales milestone, reinforcing the positive and growing market acceptance of our hybrid offerings.

Toyota Year-To-Date Performance

In the period of January-April 2026, Toyota recorded total sales of 1,37,194 units as against 1,15 units in the same period last year. The company has reported an impressive growth of 19.14 per cent. In the domestic market. Toyota sold 1,26,651 units in January-April 2026, reporting a growth of 19.71 per cent.
