Rear electric axle with AWD to improve efficiency Hybrid and LPG versions will be available Multiple engine options for different markets
The sister brand, Dacia of Renault, has scheduled the official unveiling of its 2025 Dacia Duster AWD for later in this year. The new SUV will target an even larger market segment which will be demanding a more useful, all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle than the previous edition, with even more advanced, electrified powertrain.
The top-of-the-range Duster from Dacia, to be offered in 2025, is going to boast an electric rear axle powered by an electric motor. This will increase efficiency and ensure a better general performance. Dacia's CEO, Denis Le Vot, describes this move as a step forward in the technological development of the brand. This will ensure that the brand has a greener solution in the Duster performance.
The new 2025 Dacia Duster AWD will, in fact be a hybrid engine featuring a classical unit and also a rechargeable one. It will have an automatic type of transmission as well, in order to allow for comfort when driving, along with another model that offers the LPG option for better environment-friendliness. But all these in perfect accordance with the brand character, the cost is reasonable.
The new Duster will be available in three different powertrain options, depending on the market. These include:
These options will give customers a choice of power and efficiency that fits their needs, with the new AWD model likely offering one of these configurations.
After the Duster AWD, Dacia also might use exactly the same e-axle technology on several other models for example the Bigster SUV, built on the platform same as the Duster AWD. Dacia and Renault's Duster version is also already scheduled to a full electric future, but once again, those will be put after the release of the much-awaited Sandero EV. Therefore, the next 2030 and 2031 model of Duster may be its first all-battery version.
In India, the new Ranault Duster AWD is expected to be launched sometime next year. This comes after other Renault models, such as the Kiger and Triber, will receive major refreshes this year.
The 2025 Dacia Duster AWD promises to be an exciting and practical choice for SUV buyers, offering a hybrid and electrified powertrain with the promise of affordability and improved efficiency.
