The Korean automaker, Hyundai is planning to launch 20 new ICE and 6 electric vehicles in the Indian market by FY2030. While details about the upcoming models are yet to be revealed, it is officially confirmed that 8 new cars will arrive by FY2027. Hyundai officials also announced that these models are going to be a mix across powertrains.
Hyundai will launch hybrids, ICE-only and electric vehicles in the country. The company’s first hybrid vehicle is most likely to be a new 7-seater SUV, which is likely to be launched in 2027. Moreover, the next-gen Hyundai Creta could also receive a hybrid powertrain.

Ioniq 5 facelift - 2025
Hyundai will launch the next-gen Venue sub-4 meter SUV in the country this year. The SUV is currently in final testing phase, as the test-mules were caught carrying production body panels. Internally codenamed QU2i, the next-gen Hyundai Venue will come with significant design changes and all-new interior. The SUV will retain its original silhouette; however, it will have new front and rear.
The next-gen Hyundai Venue is likely to get a large 30-inch display incorporating a 12.3-inch touchscreen unit, a 12.3-inch digital instrument console and a 5-inch display for climate control. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, sliding and reclining second-row seats, LEVEL 2 ADAS and others. It is likely to retain 1.2L 4-cylinder NA Petrol, a 1.5L turbo diesel and a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol.
Hyundai is also reportedly working on an electric derivative of the next-gen Venue; however, details are yet to be revealed. The Korean automaker is also developing a new crossover, which will rival the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. It will be based on the Hyundai Bayon on sale in Europe.
Hyundai will launch the next-gen Creta SUV and a new 7-seater SUV in 2027. The new 7-seater SUV will be positioned between the Alcazar and Tucson. It will directly rival the Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari. The 7-seater SUV will be the first Hyundai to feature a strong hybrid powertrain, which could either be based on 1.6L petrol or a 1.5L petrol.
The Korean brand will launch the Inster EV in the country in 2026. It will be a locally developed electric crossover and will rival the Tata Punch EV. This electric SUV will measure 3825mm in length, 1610mm in width, and 1575mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2580mm. This model is already on sale in global markets, where it is available with two battery packs with a capacity of 42kWh and 49kWh. Both offered with a front-axle-mounted electric motor offering 95bhp/147Nm and 113bhp/147Nm, respectively. It is claimed to offer a range of around 355km on a full charge.
Hyundai had showcased the Ionia 9 at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. It is expected to be launched as a direct rival to Kia EV9. It is packed with a 110.3kWh battery pack, and two drivetrain options - Long-range AWD and AWD. It is claimed to offer a WLTP-claimed range of 620km in a single charge. It also supports fast charging up to 350kW, which charges the battery from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes.
