Tata Sierra to debut with a triple-screen dashboard, a first for the brand Co-passenger display to offer video, music, gaming, and conferencing features Set to launch by late 2025 with petrol, diesel, and all-electric powertrains
Tata Motors is upping the game in the SUV segment with its upcoming model, the Tata Sierra. The brand, which has recently made strides with feature-loaded vehicles like the Harrier EV, is now preparing to bring back the iconic Sierra nameplate with a futuristic twist. The SUV will sport a triple-screen dashboard, marking a first for any Tata vehicle. Let's check more!
The Sierra will be the first Tata SUV to feature a three-screen dashboard, similar to the setup seen in the Mahindra XEV 9e. This includes a digital driver display, a central infotainment touchscreen, and a third screen placed on the co-driver side. Each screen is expected to measure 12.3 inches, offering an advanced infotainment experience for both driver and passengers.
What sets the Sierra apart is the dedicated co-passenger screen. This unit is designed to allow the front passenger to stream videos, play music, join video calls, and even enjoy light gaming, thanks to an integrated camera. While this tech is common in premium luxury vehicles, its introduction in the Sierra brings a high-end experience to a more mainstream SUV segment.
Much of the Sierra’s cabin will share design elements with the Tata Harrier EV. The interior is expected to feature a dual-tone dashboard, a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, ambient lighting, and a roof-mounted sunglass holder. Convenience features like wireless charging, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof will also be part of the package.
On the safety front, the Sierra is likely to be equipped with 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and Level 2 ADAS, offering a secure and connected driving experience.
Tata will offer the Sierra in both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric versions. The ICE variant is expected to come with a 1.5-litre TGDi turbo petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel unit, likely paired with manual and automatic gearbox options.
The electric version will borrow its drivetrain from the Harrier EV, featuring 65kWh and 75kWh battery pack options. The dual-motor setup is expected to deliver up to 504Nm of torque and support an all-wheel-drive configuration.
The production-spec Tata Sierra is expected to debut by the end of 2025. The electric version is likely to be introduced first, followed by the ICE variant. Once launched, the Sierra will sit above the Tata Curvv in the brand’s SUV lineup and serve as a flagship showcasing Tata’s latest in design and technology.
