Renault and Nissan are preparing to launch new compact SUVs in India in 2025. These SUVs will be seen as a threat to Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, which currently command the compact SUV market. Both the Grand Vitara and Hyryder feature AWD systems, thus making them very popular in terms of versatility and performance.

The new Renault third-generation Duster SUV is scheduled to launch around mid-2025. The new car will be characteristically tough like its previous variant, specifically at a good height and quite noticeably, with loads of ground clearance for Indian roads. A 5-seater format is retained, but possibly, a 7-seater variant may see daylight. Some might describe it as "Grand Duster".
The new Duster will fight the top models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder. The expected ex-showroom starting price is around Rs. 10 lakh. The India-spec model is likely to be offered with a 1.5L NA petrol and a 1.3L turbo petrol engines. It comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and many other high-end safety features, including six airbags and ESC.

Nissan's new Compact SUV will launch in 2025. This compact SUV is going to be different from its common platform it takes after the body shell of Renault Duster. One will get the option of a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine or a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine for this compact SUV. Its all-wheel drive system makes the automobile compete directly with Grand Vitara and Hyryder.
Nissan Compact SUV is expected to start with a price of Rs. 10 lakh, exshowroom. It will include features like touchscreen display, wireless charging, and a whole lot of safety measures through airbags and ABS with EBD and more.
The competition for Renault and Nissan SUVs will come from Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder which have already gained popularity among the people with AWD options. Renault and Nissan would be coming with their brand-new SUVs with premium AWD systems, turbo-petrol engines, and some more features such as Hill Hold Assist, Traction Control and more.
Both Renault and Nissan will manufacture the new SUV models in India. This will save them and make the SUVs more affordable to Indian customers. Domestic production will help them begin exporting these SUVs around the world.
Renault and Nissan compact SUVs are going to be one of the toughest competitors in the market. It is because this particular category is growing day-by-day. Advanced AWD systems along with modern features and an affordable price range will attract a large number of customers towards their new models.
