2022 Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition launched in India, prices start from Rs. 20.95 lakhs (ex-showroom). The black-themed Compass is available with both petrol and diesel powertrains.
The Jeep Compass was given a mid-life facelift in January 2021 with major changes to the interior. For 2022, Jeep India has launched the Compass with a special black treatment provided to the exterior and interior, labelled as “Night Eagle Edition”. This introduction is Jeep’s answer to Tata Motors Dark Editions.

How is Compass Night Eagle Edition different from its regular counterpart? First, it gets a black theme to provide a very appealing and bold stance to the SUV. The gloss black front grille, blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, ORVMs, fog lamps bezels among others are key design elements. If you thought this was it? Then the interior also has a similar treatment to appeal to its occupants. Thus the cabin features a piano black finish. Further, the seats come covered in black cloth/vinyl fabric with light contrast lungsten stitching. Plus there are black vinyl inserts for the door trim and IP. The equipment list of Night Eagle Edition is similar to the regular Compass with a 10.1-inch infotainment system, Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control, Hill Start Assist, All-Speed Traction Control System (TCS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Electronic Parking Brake.
No mechanical changes have been made to this Edition. Like its standard counterpart, this one too is available with a 2.0 litre Multijet Turbo diesel and a 1.4-litre Multi-air Turbo petrol engine. Transmission options here include a 6-speed manual gearbox for the petrol model and a 7-speed automatic stick for the diesel.
Alongside this announcement, the company also shared a price hike of Rs 25,000 for the entire Jeep Compass range. As a result of this, the new pricing for 2022 Jeep Compass Facelift now starts from Rs 18.04 lakhs and goes all the way up to Rs 30.97 lakhs (ex-showroom).
In India, the Jeep Compass rivals the likes of Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV 700, Hyundai Tucson and the Citroen C5 Aircross in its segment.
