Kia India is expected to launch its new Syros compact SUV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025. Ahead of that, the brand has dropped a few teasers, hinting at its new design and features inside. The latest teaser has confirmed that the Kia's 2.0 SUV will have premium features including a panoramic sunroof. Let's see what we know so far.
Positioned above Kia Sonet, the new Syros is expected to have more premium features among existing sub-compact SUVs, such as Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
Kia Syros will receive a panoramic sunroof, ventilated & powered front seats, leatherette upholstery, traction modes, drive modes, Bose audio system. It will also have a spacious rear seat due to its boxy and tall stance.
Not only this, the new Syros will also offer an Advanced Driver Assitance System (ADAS). However, the ADAS suite is only expected for the higher trims. Besides that, Kia will focus on the safety front by offering a 360-degree camera, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ABS with EBD, front parking sensors, and multiple airbags.
The South Korean manufacturer is expected to offer multiple powertrain options for its next compact SUV. The Syros will come with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine. It could also get Seltos's 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine.
