Mahindra Thar Roxx went on sale in August last year at a starting price of Rs 12.99 lakh. However, its deliveries were commenced on October 2024. The off-road SUV recently received a price hike of up to Rs 60,000, depending on the variant. The carmaker says the reason behind the price increase is the rising input costs.

It’s important to note that the prices of the all petrol variants remain unchanged, except the top-end Thar Roxx AX7 L AT. The SUV’s fully-loaded petrol variant is now available at Rs 19.99 lakh, while the MX1, MX3, MX5 MT and MX5 AT variants are continue to come with price tags of Rs 12.99 lakh, Rs 14.99 lakh, Rs 16.49 lakh and Rs 17.99 lakh, respectively.

Price of the entry-level Thar Roxx diesel variant remainsunchanged, i.e. Rs 13.99 lakh. Diesel variants which have witnessed a price hike are the MX5 MT 4X4, AX5L AT 4X4, AX7L MT, AX7L MT 4X4, AX7L AT and AX7L AT 4X4. These variants are now offered at Rs 19.09 lakh, Rs 21.09 lakh, Rs 19.49 lakh, Rs 21.59 lakh, Rs 20.99 lakh and Rs 23.09 lakh, respectively.
The top-end and diesel variants of the Thar Roxx are high in demand. While the mid and top-end petrol variants command a waiting period of 5 to 6 months (depending on inventory), wait for the diesel variants is little longer. The diesel automatic 4X4 variant with mocha interior is observing a waiting period of around 8 to 9 months. Its deliveries will commence soon.
This off-road SUV from Mahindra is available with the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L diesel engine options. The petrol version delivers a claimed power of 162bhp and 330Nm of torque, while the diesel model offers 152bhp with 330Nm.
