Mahindra has announced launching not one but two new electric vehicles into the market in 2025. These include XUV 3XO EV and XEV 7e. Both these products come under the rapidly growing EV portfolio in Mahindra and may comprise a mix of both style, technology, and performance.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is a sub-compact electric SUV scheduled for an India launch in 2025. Recently spotted going around for testing rounds. The XUV 3XO EV will borrow most of its design from its ICE counterpart, of course. There will be a carryover or two indoors as well. It is expected to include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof.
This one too will impress on the safety side. The XUV 3XO EV will go with as many as six airbags, an electronic stability program, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a hill-hold assist, and a rear parking camera. It may even equipped with ADAS features like lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
Powering the XUV 3XO EV would most likely come in through exactly the same options used by the XUV 400 EV. Among them include 34.5 kWh and 39.5 kWh battery packs paired to a single electric motor. Hence promising up to 456 km of full-range travel when charged.
Mahindra XEV 7e will be an all-new, all-electric 3-row SUV based on XUV700. Expected launch in mid-2025. It will come on the INGLO platform, which Mahindra utilizes for all-electric models. XEV 7e looks like the XUV700 but gets plenty of electric-specific styling changes, a closed grille and special alloy wheels.
The XEV 7e will be designed with a large, modern cabin. Three 12.3-inch screens will adorn the dashboard: one for infotainment, one for the driver's display, and one for the co-passenger. It will be available in 6-seat and 7-seat configurations, with the 6-seat model possibly sporting captain chairs in the second row.
The battery options for XEV 7e will be of two sizes. These are 59kWh and 79kWh. The former is expected to produce 228 bhp, and the latter would produce 281 bhp. Torque will start at 380Nm, going to either variant. All-wheel drive may also be offered on higher trims. Rear-wheel drive will be standard.
Launch Date for the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV will be early 2025 and for XEV 7e is set for mid-2025. The XEV 7e will probably see the production variant coming out in January 2025, Bharat Mobility Show. The two models will form part of Mahindra's drive for more options in electric vehicles.
