3 exciting new SUVs are scheduled to be launched in the Indian market in the month of January 2026. While Mahindra will introduce the long-awaited XUV700 facelift in the first 10 days of January, Tata will launch the Sierra EV. Renault has officially announced to launch the new Duster SUV on January 26, 2026.

It is expected that the new XUV700 facelift will be launched as the Mahindra XUV 7XO. In fact, the name has already been registered or trademarked in India. The new Mahindra XUV 7XO will share interior and design changes with the XEV 9S. It will have a revised front fascia, new headlamp setup, new alloy wheels, new bumpers and a revised tail-lamp setup
The cabin will receive majority of the changes, as it will have a triple screen dashboard. The Mahindra XUV7XO will come with three 12.3-inch screens for driver’s display, infotainment and co-occupant entertainment. It will get auto-dimming IRVM, front parking sensors, sliding and reclining second-row seats, and LEVEL 2+ ADAS. The SUV could also get an AUTO Park feature. The engine options will remain the same, including a 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel with manual and automatic gearbox options.

Tata Motors will launch the new Sierra EV in January 2026. It will be based on the ACTI.ev+ platform that also underpins the Curvv EV. The SUV will look similar to its ICE-counterpart, but it will have some EV-specific design changes. The Sierra EV will come with a closed-off front and new bumper. The cabin will look similar to the Tata Sierra ICE, but it could get different interior scheme.
The new Sierra EV is likely to be offered with two battery choices, including a 55kWh unit and a 65kWh unit. The SUV will have a front-axle-mounted electric motor, and is expected to offer a range of up to 500km on a single charge. The electric SUV is also expected to receive a dual-motor AWD setup.

The new-gen Renault Duster is scheduled to be introduced in our market on January 26, 2025. It will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Victoris and others in the category. The SUV will be produced at Renault’s Chennai based manufacturing facility. The new-gen Duster is based on the CMF-B modular platform, which is compatible with ICE and hybrid powertrains.
The SUV is already on sale in select international markets, including Turkey, South Africa and Brazil. The India-spec model will look largely identical to the global-spec model. In terms of features, the SUV will have a large central infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument console, connected car tech, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, automatic AC, panoramic sunroof and LEVEL 2 ADAS. The third-gen Duster will be powered by a 1.3L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 156bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices could include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. Renault could also offer the 1.0L turbo petrol engine in the lower-spec variants of the new Duster.
