Referred to as the mini GLS, the GLB offers customers with plush interiors, powerful engine and a familiar exterior design. The EQB on the other hand will try to create a new entry level into the Mercedes-Benz EQ eco-system. Both models will be offered in the country as CBUs imported from Mexico.

The Mercedes Benz GLB will be offered in three variants with a starting price of Rs 63.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The GLB 200 will be the entry level variant while the GLB 220d will be the mid-spec model priced at Rs 66.8 lakh (ex-showroom) and the GLB 220d 4MATIC the top-spec model priced at Rs 69.8 lakh (ex-showroom).

Both engines come mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission option.
Coming to the EV, the Mercedes Benz EQB is offered with a 66.5 kWh battery that offers a total range of 420 kilometres. The battery and motor combination can produce 225 bhp and 390 Nm of torque. The car also comes with fast charging capabilities allowing for 10-80 percent charge in just 30 minutes from a 100 kWh DC charger.

Based on the GLB, the EQB gets a blanked off-front grille, new aero alloy wheels and new LED headlight and taillight units. The car also gets an LED light bar, that connects both the headlamps giving the front end a futuristic look.
On the inside, both models get LED backlight turbine AC vents, twin screen MBUX system and ambient lighting all around. Other new features include one touch fold for both the second and third row seats along with a powered function for the tailgate.
