Buoyed by overwhelming response for its new breed of SUVs, Mahindra is planning to launch a wide range of new and facelifts of existing SUVs. The homegrown automaker manages to beat Tata Motors and Hyundai to grab second position in the list of top car brands in India. In order to further strengthen its market position, Mahindra will launch the new-gen Bolero, XUV700 facelift and a new 7-seater electric SUV in India.
Here is a list of top 5 upcoming Mahindra SUVs in India -
Mahindra has started testing the next-gen Bolero that has been caught testing a couple of times on the Indian roads. It is expected to be based on Mahindra’s New Flexible Architecture (NFA), which will also underpin the Bolero EV. The latest spy images reveal that the new Bolero will have a boxy proportions with an upright front fascia and a clamshell bonnet. It gets the Scorpio-N like high-set grille with rectangular vents, circular LED headlamps and turn indicators on bumper.
The new Bolero will have a boxy side profile with flush-type door handles and a flatter roof along with large glass area. It will have a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate. The company is expected to reveal the new-gen Bolero and its platform on August 15, 2025.

Mahindra has started testing the XUV700 facelift, which suggests that the launch could take place before the end of this financial year. The new 7-seater SUV will receive a revised front fascia with an updated grille, new headlamps, bumper and new daytime running lights. Other design changes could include new alloy wheels, and revised tail-lights.
The XUV700 facelift is likely to receive interior changes in-line with the new XEV 9e. It could get an improved LEVEL 2 ADAS, second-row seats with ventilation function, infinity glass roof with ambient lights and others. The SUV could also get a triple screen setup that incorporates a touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital driver’s display and a co-passenger entertainment’s screen. Mahindra could add an auto park assist feature, which we have seen on the XEV 9e. The SUV will continue to be offered with the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engine options.
After the successful launch of XEV 9e and BE 6, Mahindra is preparing to launch the much-awaited XUV 700 electric. Rumoured to be called the Mahindra XEV 7e, the new 7-seater electric SUV will be based on the skateboard platform, INGLO. The XEV 7e will look largely identical to the XUV700; however, it will receive several EV-specific design changes.
In terms of features, the electric SUV will have the triple-screen dashboard, multi-zone climate control, 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated and memory-enabled powered front seats, panoramic sunroof, and an Auto Park feature. The Mahindra XEV 7e is likely to be offered with two battery pack options - 59kWh and 79kWh - paired with a rear-mounted electric motor as standard. It could receive a dual-motor AWD set-up with multiple drive modes and terrain modes.
The popular XUV 3XO SUV will receive two new powertrain options including an electric and a strong hybrid. The XUV 3XO EV has already been caught testing multiple times on the Indian roads. It is expected to be launched sometime late this year or early next year. The electric SUV is likely to source its battery pack with the XUV400.
Mahindra is also developing a new strong hybrid engine, which will power the XUV 3XO. The compact SUV will receive a new in-house developed Series-Parallel hybrid powertrain. It is likely to be launched sometime in 2026. The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine will be used as a core of the new hybrid powertrain. It will have an electric motor, a smaller battery and a starter generator.
The homegrown UV maker is also preparing the updated versions of the Scorpio N and the Thar 3-door. The updated models are likely to be launched sometime in 2026. The Scorpio-N facelift is expected to receive new features like a bigger touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, and LEVEL 2 ADAS. Similarly, the Thar facelift could get new touchscreen unit, a digital driver’s display and ADAS functions. Mechanically, both SUVs will remain the same.
