Hyundai Motor India Limited has shared the first official teaser of its All-New Verna. Internally known as BN7i, the sedan is set to launch on 21 March 2023. Interested buyers can now book their vehicle at a token amount of Rs 25,000 across all authorized dealerships in the country or via the company official website. We take a closer look at the teaser images to define what the upcoming sedan will have to offer to its customers.
As revealed in the teaser, the front fascia seems to be inspired by the recently launched Hyundai Tucson featuring the Sensuous Sportiness design language. Its side profile looks exuberant with new cuts and creases. Towards the rear, the sedan features a horizontal LED tail-light design with eye-catching slim LED bars that extend towards the centre.
Although there is no teaser for the interior, expect the sedan to get a new dashboard layout and features including a fully digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, and more.
New Gen Hyundai Verna will be offered with a choice of two petrol engines; a 1.5-litre petrol turbo and a 1.5-litre MPi. The turbo option is capable of delivering 158 bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque, making it the most powerful car in its segment. In addition, it will be mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed Dual Clutch automatic gearbox. As for the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, it will be capable of generating 113 bhp of maximum power output with 144 Nm peak torque. Transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed manual and an Intelligent Variable Transmission gearbox. The interesting fact is that all these powertrains are RDE-compliant and E20 fuel ready.
Next-Gen Verna is expected to be offered in four variants namely EX, S, SX, and SX(O). Plus, the sedan will be available in 7 single-tone and 2 dual-tone exterior colour options which also include three new colours named Abyss Black, Atlas White, and Tellurian Brown.
