Nissan India reports a 23 percent rise in sales in February 2026. Deliveries of the all-new Nissan Gravite MPV have begun nationwide. Nissan plans to expand with more models like the Tekton and a three-row SUV.
Nissan India has officially launched the Gravite, a sub-four-metre MPV, with a starting price of Rs. 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Following its launch last month, the model has now arrived at showrooms and deliveries have officially commenced across the country. The Nissan Gravite is a new addition to the MPV segment and is expected to give tough competition to the Renault Triber.
Nissan Gravite shares its platform with the Renault Triber, offering a practical design and affordable pricing. It is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 71bhp and 96Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual or an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) option. The MPV promises a claimed mileage of up to 19.6kmpl, making it a fuel-efficient choice in its segment.
The Gravite is offered in five variants, available in five color options. Its compact size and efficient engine make it a strong contender in the entry-level MPV market. Nissan has also showcased a CNG version with dual tanks, expected to launch soon.
Nissan India has reported a 23% increase in sales for February 2026, with total sales reaching 10,565 units. Of these, 2,230 units were sold domestically, while 8,335 units were exported. This increase highlights the growing importance of India as a key manufacturing and export hub for Nissan.
The launch of the Nissan Gravite has contributed to the company’s positive sales performance, generating strong customer interest and boosting bookings. The first deliveries of the Gravite began on March 1, 2026, marking a significant milestone for Nissan in India. The Gravite’s affordable price and practical features make it an attractive option for families looking for an entry-level MPV.
