New Midsize SUVs Coming Soon - Tata, Mahindra, Toyota and More

Tata, Mahindra, Toyota and more to launch new SUVs this year. Sierra EV and Urban Cruiser Ebella bring strong EV options. Scorpio N facelift and Kylaq Sportline add fresh updates.

The midsize SUV segment in India is set to get even more exciting this year. Automakers like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Toyota, Nissan, and Škoda Auto are preparing to launch new SUVs across different price points.

From electric models to facelifts and sportier variants, buyers will have plenty of options to choose from in the coming months.

1. Tata Sierra EV

The Tata Sierra EV is expected to launch within the next few months. It will build on the popularity of the Sierra name and bring a modern electric setup.

The SUV is likely to get two battery options, with the larger pack possibly shared with the Harrier EV. A driving range of over 500 km is expected, making it a strong option in the electric SUV space.

2. Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift

The Mahindra Scorpio N is set to receive a mid-cycle update soon. Changes will include a larger touchscreen, updated interiors, and improved connectivity features.

On the outside, expect minor design tweaks like a revised grille, updated lighting, and new alloy wheels. The engine options are expected to remain the same.

3. Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella will be Toyota’s new electric offering in India. It will be based on the same platform as the Maruti e Vitara but will feature unique styling elements.

The SUV is expected to come with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs, with a claimed range of up to 543 km. It will also offer a feature-loaded cabin.

4. Skoda Kylaq Sportline

The Škoda Kylaq will get a new Sportline variant, focused on a sportier look. It will feature blacked-out elements, new alloy wheels, and red accents inside the cabin.

While the design will be more aggressive, no mechanical changes are expected.

5. Nissan Tekton SUV

The upcoming Nissan Tekton will be based on the same platform as the new Renault Duster. It is expected to arrive in the second half of 2026.

The SUV will likely offer multiple engine options, including turbo petrol and hybrid setups. It will stand out with a bold design inspired by global Nissan SUVs.
