Volkswagen Taigun facelift spotted testing for the first time! Gets a new look, added features like a 360-degree camera and dual-zone AC. No engine changes – same trusted 1.0L and 1.5L TSI powertrains.
Volkswagen Taigun, launched in India in September 2021, is finally set to get a midlife refresh. The SUV has been spotted testing for the first time, indicating that a facelifted version is in the works. This update will bring cosmetic upgrades and more features, just like its Skoda sibling, the Kushaq.

The facelifted Taigun is expected to receive changes to its front and rear design. The SUV will adopt a more modern and premium look, in line with Volkswagen’s latest global SUV styling. Expect a redesigned grille, updated bumpers, and revised LED lights.
While the exterior gets visual enhancements, the cabin will see more significant upgrades. The updated Taigun is likely to come with new features such as:
- 360-degree camera for better visibility
- Dual-zone climate control for added comfort
These additions aim to boost the SUV’s appeal and practicality for daily use.
Mechanically, the Taigun facelift will remain the same. It will continue to offer:
- 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine (with 6-speed MT / 6-speed AT)
- 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine (with 6-speed MT / 7-speed DSG)
Both engines are known for their performance and fuel efficiency, so no changes are expected here.
Volkswagen is expected to bring an all-new generation of the Taigun after 2027. The next-gen model could be longer and may even offer a three-row version to compete in the larger SUV segment.
