The Mahindra XUV 3XO sub-4 meter compact SUV is all set to receive new updates in the month of July, 2025. Details about the changes are yet to emerge; it is expected to receive new variants and more features. Mahindra has been testing the XUV 3XO with an upgraded ADAS system, and the same could be introduced in our market.
The existing Mahindra XUV 3XO is one of the most feature-loaded SUVs in its category. The high-end variants of the compact SUV are equipped with features like LEVEL 2 ADAS, a 360-degree surround view camera with blind view monitor, leatherette upholstery, panoramic sunroof and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.
The 2025 Mahindra XUV 3XO is expected to be offered with the same set of engines that powers the existing model. It is available with 3 engine options - a 111bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol, a 131bhp, 1.2L TGDi turbo petrol and a 117bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic and an AMT unit.
Mahindra has been testing the electric derivative of the XUV 3XO subcompact SUV that has been caught testing multiple times on the Indian roads. It is expected that the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV will arrive in our market before the end of this financial year. The EV will look largely identical to its ICE derivative. However, it will receive several EV-specific design changes in the form of a new blanked-off front grille, new bumpers, and new aero-optimised alloy wheels.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO electric is likely to share its battery options with the XUV 400. It is expected to come with two battery choices - a 34.5kWh and a 39.4kWh. The higher-spec model is expected to come with a range of around 400-500km.
Mahindra is also working on a new hybrid engine to power its XUV 3XO compact SUV. Details about the hybrid engine are not available at this point. It is expected that Mahindra is likely to add the new hybrid system to its powerful 1.2L, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine.
