2026 Kia Sonet diesel AT priced at Rs 9.78 lakh Turbo Petrol DCT now starts at Rs 9.90 lakh
Kia India has launched the 2026 Kia Sonet with the additions of new variants across Diesel Automatic Powertrains and Turbo Petrol 7DCT. The Sonet Diesel AT is now available at a starting price of Rs 9.78 lakh, while the turbo petrol 7-speed DCT is available at a starting price of Rs 9.90 lakh, ex-showroom. Adding to it, Kia has also introduced a new Magna Red colour option to Sonet lineup.
The 1.5-litre Diesel 6-speed Automatic is now available across HTE(O), HTK(O), HTK+, and HTK+(O) variants, alongside 1.0-litre Turbo Petrol 7DCT options in HTK(O) and HTK+(O). The Sonet diesel automatic is available in the price bracket of Rs 9.78 lakh to Rs 11.57 lakh, while the Sonet Turbo Petrol 7DCT is priced between Rs 9.90 lakh and Rs 10.84 lakh, ex-showroom. The Kia Sonet has become the first SUV in its category to offer both 6AT and 7DCT below Rs 10 lakh.

The Kia Sonet range is available in 3 engine options - a 1.2L, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.0L 3-cylinder, turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. The 1.2L NA is capable of producing 82bhp of power and 115Nm of peak torque, and is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The turbo petrol engine produces 118bhp and 172Nm of torque, and is paired to either 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT.
The 1.5L, 4-cylinder, diesel engine is capable of producing 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The SUV comes equipped with 15 robust standard safety features along with 10 ADAS LEVEL 1 features.
