Hyundai Venue was first launched in India in May 2019, and became an instant hit due to its premium interior, compact styling and efficient powertrains. Since then, it has undergonemultiple variant revisions and feature upgrades. Now, it is ready to enter its second generation with comprehensive changes. Codenamed QU2i, the new-gen Hyundai Venue will be the brand’s first model to roll out the brand’s Talegaon manufacturing facility. Its production is likely to begin in late 2025, with the market launch following in early 2026.
Looking at the previous spy images, it’s clear that the 2025 Hyundai Venue facelift will retain the original design language and boxy stance. Some of its cosmetic changes could be inspired by the Creta and Alcazar SUVs. The new Venue will feature a wider grille with new rectangular design elements. The front bumper will also be taller than before. The subcompact SUV will come with the split headlamp setup as we have seen in the Creta.
The side profile is expected to remain largely unchanged, as well as the wheelbase and dimensions. However, we expect it to come with the newly-designed alloy wheels. At the back, the SUV will get new horizontal taillamps with new LED detailing, which might be connected through a light bar. However, the upright tailgate will remain intact.
Material quality could be improved further. The new 2025 Hyundai Venue is expected to receive a completely new dashboard along with the updated larger screens, new steering wheel and seats and revised switchgear. Rumour has it that the new Venue could also get a panoramic sunroof and Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system).
The new 2025 Hyundai Venue is most likely to retain its engine-gearbox combinations. The SUV’s current model is available with the 83bhp, 1.2L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol, 120bhp, 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol and 100bhp, 1.5L diesel engines.
With all the aforementioned cosmetic changes and feature upgrades, the new Venue is expected to be priced slightly premium than its current generation, which is available within the price range of Rs 7.94 lakh – Rs 13.62 lakh (all, ex-showroom). In the subcompact SUV segment, it will continue to take on the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
