Honda 0 Alpha Electric SUV coming in Q1, 2027 Elevate to get a facelift by mid-2026 Honda considering Civic, CR-V and Accord for Indian market
Honda Cars India is planning to launch 6 models in India in FY2026-27, including the City facelift and ZR-V. While the City facelift has already been launched, the Honda ZR-V Hybrid bookings are now open with deliveries are being promised to commence from mid-July 2026. The company will also introduce 4 more vehicles, including an all-electric SUV, facelifted Elevate and couple of its global vehicles via CBU route.
Honda 0 Alpha Electric SUV
Honda has officially started testing of the new 0 Alpha concept based electric SUV on the Indian roads. To be manufactured at the brand’s Tapukara production plant in Rajasthan, the new Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV will be launched in the Indian market in Q1, 2027. The SUV will have unique styling with a completely different rear styling. The SUV offers strong road presence, featuring an upright stance, flat tailgate and boxy shape.
Following its tradition, Honda will focus on offering spacious and practical cabin. It will be a mid-size SUV to take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Mahindra BE 6 and the upcoming Tata Sierra EV. It will come with modern tech, featuring the brand’s new infotainment unit, digital driver’s display and connected car tech.
Honda Elevate Facelift
Likely to be launched by mid-2026, the new Elevate facelift will come with minor cosmetic design and interior changes along with a longer list of features. With upgraded cabin and design, Honda hopes to keep the Elevate relevant against the likes of the Creta, Seltos and Sierra. Design changes could include new bumpers, new alloy wheels and a revised front grille.
The SUV could get new comfort and convenience features with new upholstery. It will continue to be offered with a tried & tested 1.5L, naturally-aspirated petrol engine paired to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic unit. Few reports suggest that the SUV could also receive a strong hybrid powertrain; however, Honda is yet to make an official announcement on the same.
Honda Considering Civic, CR-V, Accord and Prelude
Honda is looking at introducing some of its global icons, including the Civic, Accord and CR-V in the Indian market as fully imports in limited numbers. All these models are available with hybrid powertrains in markets abroad. Adding to it, Honda Prelude hybrid sportswear is also under consideration for India. This model could come as a halo model and brand builder.
