Honda ZR-V will come as a CBU model It is likely to be priced around Rs 45 to 50 lakh Only the hybrid version will be introduced
The long-awaited Honda ZR-V will finally arrive in the Indian market tomorrow, that’s May 22, 2026. Alongside the new ZR-V, Honda will also launch the City facelift that has already been revealed in multiple spy images on the INTERNET. The official teasers confirm that the SUV will be called the ZR-V e:HEV, and its front design is similar to that of the international-spec model.
The new hybrid SUV will come as a CBU (Completely Built-Up Unit) model. The company will fully use the Government’s rule of importing 2500 vehicles without undergoing homologation process. We expect the new Honda ZR-V to price somewhere around Rs 45 lakh - 50 lakh, ex-showroom. At this price tag, the new ZR-V hybrid will come as an alternative to the likes of the VW Tiguan R-Line, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
Honda ZR-V e:HEV Engine Specifications
The new Honda ZR-V is expected to be powered by the same 2.0-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine that also powers the international-spec model. This engine is capable of producing 180hp and a peak torque of 240Nm, and is paired to an e-CVT. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in under 8 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 172 kmph.

The new ZR-V looks identical to the global-spec model, featuring sharp LED headlights with L-shaped LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), a sculpted bonnet, and signature Honda grille. It will get flush-type roof rails, and a panoramic sunroof. The front grille has vertical chrome strips, and new blacked-out lower bumper that houses a honeycomb mesh design for the air intake channel.
The side profile has gloss-black cladding on the wheel arches and lower part of the doors, while the rear has wraparound LED tail-lights and a blacked-out lower bumper. There is a chrome strip on the lower bumper that houses two exhaust outlets on both sides. In terms of proportions, the new Honda ZR-V is 4568mm in length, 1840mm in width and 1620mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2657mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of 180mm, and a boot space of 390-litres.

The new Honda ZR-V hybrid will come with a dual-tone interior scheme with a layered dashboard. The centre console houses drive selector buttons and cup holders. It will get a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 10.2-inch digital driver’s display.
It will come equipped with electrically adjustable front seats with memory function for the driver’s seat. In terms of features, the SUV will get a dual-zone climate control, a powered tailgate, a panoramic sunroof and a 12-speaker Bose sound system. For safety and security, the new ZR-V will get 6 airbags, LEVEL 2 ADAS and ISFIX child seat anchorages.
