Hyundai is all set to launch the Creta “Knight Edition” with a slew of cosmetic changes ahead of its facelift launch later this year.
Hyundai Motor India is already ruling the compact SUV market with the Creta, as one of the highest selling SUVs. The second generation of the SUV was launched in the year 2020, since then it is selling like hot cake with over six months of waiting period for select variants. To stay on the top of their game, Hyundai is banking on the recent trend of special editions with cosmetic updates. The Creta “Knight Edition” will be available only with two variants, S+ and SX (O), only in 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options.
Hyundai Creta Knight Edition - Exterior Design:
On the outside, Hyundai Creta “Knight Edition” will have an updated front grille upfront with gloss black treatment along with red inserts to give it a sporty appeal. The black theme will be carried forward with the same colour front and rear skid plates, and side sills. It will flaunt dark metal coloured alloy wheels with red front brake callipers. On the sides, the four wheeler will have a gloss black finish on the C pillar, roof rails and ORVMs. The Knight Edition emblem on the tailgate is also a part of the package. Everything else on the exteriors remains the same.
Hyundai Creta Knight Edition - Interior:
As for the interior, it will follow a black theme as well, with a black dashboard somewhat similar to the turbo petrol variant. The centre console will have a glossy black treatment along with blacked out seats, with red stitching.
Hyundai Creta Knight Edition - Engine Specification:
The current iteration of Hyundai Creta is available with three engine options, namely a 1.5-litre MPi petrol, 1.5-litre CRDI diesel and a 1.4-litre Turbo GDI. The 1.5 MPi petrol comes equipped with a 6 speed manual and IVT transmission.
Hyundai will launch a new iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) transmission option, with the 1.5 litre petrol engine, only available in the mid-S trim.
Hyundai Creta Knight - Expected Price in India
Price of Hyundai Creta “Knight Edition” is not announced officially but is expected to be in the range of Rs. 13.35 lakhs to Rs. 18.02 lakhs ex-showroom.
MG will launch the Windsor EV with bigger battery pack and ADAS tech, while Kia and Tata will give mid-life facelift to Carens and Altroz, respectively.
