After launching the new BE 6 and XEV 9e, Mahindra is ready to roll out multiple new SUVs in the country over the period of next 2 years. Not just new SUVs, the existing Mahindra SUVs including the Thar 3-door, Scorpio N and XUV700 will receive significant upgrades. Mahindra's third Born electric SUV, the XEV 7e or XUV700 electric will arrive in the second half of 2025.

The XEV 7e is the production version of the Mahindra XUV.e8 concept that debuted in 2022-23. It will be a practical 7-seater electric SUV based on Mahindra's Born-electric platform, called the INGLO. The overall profile of the XEV 7e appears largely identical to the XUV700; however, it has several EV-specific design changes. In fact, the electric SUV shares design elements with the recently launched Mahindra XEV 9e.
The cabin layout will be similar to the one offered in the Mahindra XEV 9e. The dashboard will be dominated by a triple screen setup comprising of a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display and a similarly sized co-occupant display. The Mahindra XEV 7e gets the Auto Park feature, which uses 12 ultrasonic sensors to find the ideal parking spot and then parks itself. It will also come with Level 2 ADAS with five radars and one camera.
The Mahindra XEV 7e will be packed with the BE 6 and XEV 9e. The battery pack options include 59kWh and 79kWh with a rear-axle-mounted electric motor. The smaller battery pack with a rear-mounted electric motor offers 231 PS and 380Nm, while the 79kWh battery with RWD setup offers 286PS and 380Nm. The EV is likely to offer a range of over 500km on a single charge. The electric SUV will also come with a dual motor AWD setup.

The XUV700 facelift is rumoured to be launched as the XUV 7XO in the country in 2025. The updated model will receive big changes inside the cabin, as it is likely to receive a three-screen setup. This setup comprising a touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital instrument console and a display for a co-occupant.
The Mahindra XUV700 facelift is likely to be equipped with features like wireless charging pad, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 12-speaker stereo, electrically adjustable second-row seats in 6-seater version, and others. It will come with LEVEL 2 ADAS features such as autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, high beam assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and others. Mahindra could also add Auto Park feature in the XUV700, which is offered on the XEV 9e.
The XUV700 facelift will continue to be offered with the existing 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol and 2.2-litre, turbo diesel engine. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
