Maruti's first electric MPV has been spotted testing again. Expected to offer over 500 km driving range. ADAS, panoramic sunroof and 3-row seating could be offered.
Maruti Suzuki is getting ready to launch another electric vehicle after the eVitara, and this one could be a big hit with family buyers. The company's upcoming electric MPV, known by its codename YMC, has been spotted testing on Indian roads once again.
What makes this EV interesting is that it is expected to come with three rows of seating, over 500 km driving range, and advanced safety features like ADAS. The YMC is likely to make its global debut in late 2026 or early 2027.
The YMC will be Maruti Suzuki's first all-electric MPV and one of its largest EVs yet.
Unlike the eVitara SUV, this new model is being designed with families in mind. Spy shots show a longer body, a spacious cabin layout and a practical MPV shape that should comfortably accommodate seven passengers.
The larger size could also mean more legroom and boot space compared to many SUVs currently on sale.

Although the test vehicle is heavily camouflaged, a few design details can still be spotted.
The front bumper and lower grille design appear similar to the upcoming eVitara. The side profile has a clean and simple look with squared wheel arches and aerodynamic wheels. At the rear, the MPV gets a large tailgate and rear wiper.
Overall, the YMC seems to focus more on practicality than sporty styling.
Maruti is expected to equip the YMC with several modern features.
Top variants could get:
Many of these features are likely to be shared with the eVitara.
The YMC could become one of the most feature-packed Maruti vehicles when it comes to safety.
Reports suggest it may offer Level 2 ADAS, which could include:
Apart from that, the MPV is expected to get seven airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist and parking sensors.
The YMC is likely to use the same battery technology as the eVitara.
Maruti is expected to offer 48.8 kWh and 61.1 kWh battery packs, with the larger battery potentially delivering a range of over 500 km on a single charge.
Interestingly, reports suggest the YMC could use a rear-wheel-drive setup, which is often preferred for larger vehicles carrying more passengers and luggage.
Maruti Suzuki is expected to price the YMC aggressively to attract family buyers looking to switch to electric vehicles.
Prices could start from around Rs 17 lakh and go up to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and battery pack.
The electric MPV is expected to arrive sometime in 2027 and will be sold in both Indian and international markets.
