JSW MG Motor India has announced that its popular electric crossover, the MG Windsor, continues to dominate the Indian EV market. In July 2025, the Windsor achieved its highest-ever monthly sales, delivering 4,308 units. This marks the 10th consecutive month where the Windsor has been India’s best-selling electric vehicle.
Since its launch, the MG Windsor has sold nearly 36,000 units across the country. This consistent performance has helped MG Motor strengthen its position in the EV segment.
In the second quarter of CY’25, MG’s market share in the EV space rose to 32%, up from 28% in Q1. During the same period, average monthly sales of the Windsor grew by 17%, while overall EV wholesales for the company increased by
28%.
The MG Windsor has won over 30 awards, including the prestigious Green Car Award 2025 by iCOTY. It is positioned as India’s first intelligent CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle), blending the comfort of a sedan with the practicality of an SUV. The model has become a standout choice for buyers seeking style, technology, and eco-friendly mobility.
The Windsor is offered with a starting Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) price of Rs 9.99 lakh plus Rs 3.9/km. It is powered by a 100 kW (136 PS) motor delivering 200 Nm of torque, ensuring smooth and responsive performance.
Its futuristic ‘AeroGlide’ design gives it a distinctive road presence, while the spacious cabin offers ‘Aero Lounge’ reclining seats with up to 135-degree tilt for maximum comfort.
At the heart of the cabin sits a massive 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW touchscreen that controls navigation, media, and vehicle settings. The Windsor also comes equipped with advanced connected car technology, providing a modern and intuitive driving experience.
With its combination of design, comfort, and technology, the MG Windsor has set new benchmarks in India’s EV market. Its consistent sales growth and expanding market share suggest that MG Motor India has found a winning formula in the Windsor.
