After launching the new Triber, Renault is now ready to launch the Kiger facelift in the country. The new Renault Kiger facelift is likely to be launched ahead of the festival season, before Diwali this year. Testing of the new compact SUV has already been started, revealing key changes. It will come with subtle design changes and an upgraded interior.
The 2025 Renault Kiger facelift will come with subtle design changes, and the majority of the upgrades will be made to the front fascia. It will have sharper styling elements with latest Renault face, which is offered on newer models including the Kardian SUV. The front fascia has a newly designed lower bumper that houses a larger central air intake. It will come with a slightly revised split headlamp setup and daytime running lamps, and a new-look Renault logo that’s recently introduced in the Triber.
The SUV will also come with LED fog lamps. The compact SUV gets a newly designed alloy wheels and revised rear profile. It is likely to feature tweaked tail-lights, shark fin antenna and new look lower bumper. Most of the changes will be limited to the plastic parts, and sheet metal remains the same.
The cabin is also expected to receive cosmetic updates with better quality materials. It is likely to get new upholstery for seats and new soft-touch trims. The new Kiger facelift will continue to be offered with the same 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It is not likely to be offered with a sunroof.
The 2025 Renault Kiger facelift will continue to be offered with the same set of engines, including a 72hp, 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and 100hp, 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual as standard, a 5-speed AMT with 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol and a CVT automatic with 1.0L turbo petrol.
The new Renault Kiger facelift is likely to receive a price hike of around 25,000 to 50,000. We expect the new Kiger to cost somewhere around Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 11.5 lakh. It will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Fronx and the higher variants of the Citroen C3 and Tata Punch.
