At the ongoing 2023 Shanghai Motor Show, the Japanese automaker, Nissan has revealed its latest Arizon electric SUV concept for the global markets. Through this concept, the car brand showcased its futuristic design philosophy. According to Nissan, the Arizon EV SUV is designed to serve a multifunctional partner. Let us now dig a bit deeper into what the concept is all about.
Following the brand's futuristic design philosophy, the Arizon EV SUV concept sports a closed-off grille, a full-width headlamp design, an angular front bumper, a raked windscreen, cameras in place of ORVMs, a sloping roof line, designer wheels with aerodynamic covers, and squared-out wheel arches.
On the inside, the electric SUV concept features a dual-tone dashboard. It offers bucket-type front seats, ambient lighting, a glass roof, and a large single-pane screen for both infotainment and the instrument cluster. The concept also supports an interior lighting system with face recognition. This will automatically adapt the level of interior lighting to suit the driver's preferences. In addition, the lights can be adjusted in four modes; Leisure, Sleep, Relax, and Surprise.
Other notable features include a virtual personal assistant that will act as the in-car equivalent to Amazon's Alexa or Apple's Siri. It is also said that the automaker will provide ADAS functionality too. Furthermore, the Arizon will be based on the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance's CMF-EV platform.
The Nissan Arizon SUV is likely to use groundbreaking all-electric technologies. It will get two electric motor setups with the brand's e-4ORCE electric all-wheel-drive system. These motors will be connected to a large battery pack to offer a maximum driving range.
