The Skoda has begun the delivery of the Kylaq model, which was first introduced in November of 2024. The Skoda Kylaq is the first sub-4m SUV by the Czech automakers to launch in India. This model shares the same platform as the Kushaq and is placed below it in Skoda’s Indian lineup.
Let us have a look at the Skoda Kylaq and what the SUV offers.
The Kylaq is a sub-compact SUV that comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, split headlamps, and thin, square-like taillights. This SUV corresponds to a lot of design from its larger sibling Kushaq like the blacked-out butterfly grille, re-positioned lighting elements, and re-designed alloys.
You can choose from 7 different color options which are Lava Blue, Olive Gold, Candy White, Tornado Red, Deep Black, Brilliant Silver, and Carbon Steel.
As for the Kylaq's interior, the SUV comes with dashboard trim and a dual-tone design with silver and chrome accents. It offers features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, an 8-inch digital driver's display, a sunroof, a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, connected car tech, and a cooled glovebox.
The front passengers get ventilation functionality and also the car features adjustable headrests for all three passengers with a foldable armrest.
The Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol (producing about 113.43 bhp and 178 Nm of torque) with transmission options of 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT.
The Skoda Kylaq is priced in the range of Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom). This sub-4m SUV directly rivals to cars such as the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Hyundai Venue.
