Tata Punch Facelift Launch Likely in early 2026

Tata Motors is busy doing final preparations for the launch of the much-awaited Sierra lifestyle SUV on November 25, 2025. The company will also launch the petrol-powered Safari and Harrier before the end of this financial year. Adding to it, the homegrown UV maker is testing the Punch facelift on the Indian roads. The Tata Punch facelift will receive substantial design and interior changes; however, it won’t receive any mechanical changes.

Launch Details

It was speculated to be launched before the end of this year. However, media reports suggest that the Punch facelift could launch in the first quarter of 2026.

Interior Changes

The 2025 Tata Punch facelift is likely to share features with the Altroz facelift and the Nexon compact SUV. It could get the new two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, which we have already seen on latest Tata cars including Altroz and Nexon. It is expected to receive a larger 10.25-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The higher-spec variants could get a digital driver’s display.

The new micro SUV is expected to be equipped with features like ventilated front seats, blind spot monitoring, an 8-speaker music system, and 6 airbags. There could be a new climate control panel.

Major Design Overhaul

The spy images available on the Internet suggests that the new Punch facelift will receive substantial design changes. The front fascia is expected to share design with the Punch EV and the Nexon. It will have a revised front grille in-line with the Nexon, a reworked bumper and restyled headlamp set-up.

The SUV will come with newly designed alloy wheels and new LED tail-lamps, which seems identical to the one offered on the Altroz hatchback. It will also get revised tailgate design, and a 360-degree surround view camera.

No Mechanical Changes

The Punch facelift will continue to be offered with the existing 1.2L, 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 87bhp and 115Nm of torque. The CNG version gets a twin-cylinder tech, and in the CNG mode, the powertrain offers 73.5bhp and 103Nm. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
