Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is one of the most-awaited cars in the Indian market and expected to be there by the end of 2025. The new generation of the Prado has been globally introduced in 2023, completely redesigned to achieve better durability, space, and performance.
The ladder frame chassis used here is 50% stiffer than its previous model, meaning better durability and handling. Powering the Prado will be a 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine delivering 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Additionally, mild-hybrid technology for better fuel efficiency is featured in this SUV.
Inside, the Prado will boast multi-zone climate control, leather upholstery, and a bigger touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This, along with the sharing of many features with the high-end LC300 variant, truly makes it an excellent choice for SUV lovers who look forward to luxury and performance.
The other exciting product at the Bharat Mobility Global Show is the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, an electric SUV based on the e-HEARTECT platform. It is scheduled to go on sale in India by the end of 2025 and will be built at Suzuki's Gujarat plant with exports to international markets.
It will be available in two variants of battery pack, 49 kWh with a FWD setup and 61 kWh with both FWD and AWD setups, the former will provide 144 hp and the latter 184 hp. Moreover, it comes with safety features like downhill assist control, trail mode, and snow mode to make the ride smooth on tough terrains. The Urban Cruiser EV will have the interior fitment of a 10.25-inch digital display, 10.1-inch touchscreen, JBL audio system, and ADAS.
The two innovative models to be displayed at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Show are from Toyota, showing how the company is committed to providing luxury as well as sustainability. The Land Cruiser Prado will promise unmatchable ruggedness, and the Urban Cruiser EV will bring forward eco-friendly driving. These models will surely be a hit in Indian markets and set new benchmarks in the SUV and electric vehicle segments.
