Renault will launch the third-gen Duster and Bigster/Boreal in the Indian market in 2026. Before these two new SUVs, the French automaker will introduce the Kiger and Triber facelifts. Both cars will be launched during the festive season, before Diwali. Testing of the new models has already been started on the Indian roads.
Going by the spy shots, it is visible that both sub-4 meter utility vehicles will receive significant upgrades. Both will receive redesigned front and rear styling elements, new alloys and new tail-lights. The spotted model gets square rear LED tail-lights that could be temporary make-shift units.
The 2025 Renault Kiger will come with a split grille with a larger unit placed in the centre. There is a smaller grille on upper part that could feature RENAULT lettering like on Duster. It gets a flatter bonnet and new LED daytime running lights (DRL) signature.
The SUV could retain the existing triple barrel LED reflector setup for the headlight unit. The SUV could get the same C-shaped LED tail-lights. Similar updates are likely to be offered on the Triber facelift.
The updated Kiger and Triber are likely to be offered with the 1.0L, 3-cylnder naturally-aspirated and turbocharged petrol engine. The current Triber is only available with a naturally-aspirated unit. However, the facelifted model could get both NA and turbo unit. Transmission choices will remain the same - a 5-speed manual as standard, an AMT unit for the NA petrol and a CVT unit for the turbo petrol.
Renault India will launch the third-generation Duster SUV in the country in the first quarter of 2026. The company will introduce a new 7-seater SUV based on the Dacia Bigster or Renault Boreal in the later half of 2026. Both SUVs will also receive a hybrid powertrain. The brand is also developing a new electric vehicle, which is likely to be the new-gen Kwid EV.
